Students who are continually disruptive or disrespectful will face expulsion.
All aspects of costuming must be pre-approved by Diaga Irish Dance.
For dancers purchasing new costumes, final sketches from designers must be approved before costumes are made.
Students representing Diaga Irish Dance in performances outside school events must be granted approval.
MEDIA RELEASE
During the dance year, pictures and/or videos are taken of the Diaga Irish Dancers for in-house use and or marketing purposes. These pictures or videos may be used in combination with dance school brochures, website or other media without financial compensation.
SOCIAL MEDIA POLICY
Dancers and parents are asked to take careful consideration when posting to social media accounts and refrain from commenting on public forums in a manner that could discredit Diaga Irish Dance or the Irish dance community in general. We aim to represent our dancers in their most positive light, and make every effort to promote our school accordingly. Competitions oftentimes have highs and lows, and comments such as “not the results we had hoped” reflect poorly on our school and program. We focus on the positive aspects of our dancers efforts at all times, and expect parents and dancers to reciprocate this outlook.
DANCER CODE OF CONDUCT
Dancers must be respectful of their instructors and fellow students at all times, both in and outside of class.
Dancers are expected to support one another at competitions and shows. A kind word however small, can be truly up-lifting.
Dancers must respect the decisions of their instructors.
Class uniform is expected at every class. Specifics can be found in the Members Hub.
Dancers are expected to demonstrate good sportsmanship at competitions, and take pride in representing our school.
